A natural Keshi pearl pendant decorated with a gold-plated zamac starfish finding, mounted on a gold-plated brass base. Its irregular shape makes it particularly suitable for creating original and trendy DIY jewelry!
Keshi pearls are organically produced and irregularly shaped. They are baroque pearls. The term "keshi," of Japanese origin, means "clove."
Keshi shells can form in both freshwater and saltwater mollusks. They are generally small and irregularly shaped since they lack a nucleus to guide their development. They exhibit a wide variety of colors, high luster, and rare iridescence because they are composed of pure nacre.
The fact that Keshi Pearls are made of 100% nacre does not give them the classification of normal pearls because of their shapes.
